Yesterday I was going through the tabloids and I read something about the death of this young lady, Brittany Murphy. I’m not very familiar with Hollywood stars but her face is not something that is easily forgotten; because I once thought that there was something awfully odd about her. If I can still remember right, it was the way she talked. It was a comment most people have towards celebrities and I’m not trying to defend myself. I’m just saying it has got something to do with the relationship of the public and public figures. Speaking of which, I’m definitely shocked about her death because she’s 32 and the cause is not even known to us yet. The fact that the LA coroner is starting the autopsy already makes it a lot easier to digest because at least we get to answer these questions soon.
I have this strange feeling every time someone dies early. For me it’s really horrible and confusing. I know that death is something we should all acknowledge but the fact remains: no one wants to die early. Even if someone comes up and says that dying should be welcomed with open arms, I wouldn’t buy it. Dying cancer patients who have accepted their destiny are merely shaking off the fear of actually stepping into the door of death. Although I have not experienced this personally, death is a force so real, it doesn’t even give you a split of a second to glance back. That should be the most painful thing in the world which is why I feel so sorry for Brit’s death. Her ex boyfriend Ashton who is now with Demi Moore is even overwhelmed over this tragic event. Whether we’re stars or not, life is equally important because that’s all we have and once we are put away, there’s no turning back.
While I’m writing this and I’m thinking about her, I get goose bumps knowing I’m just two years older than her. No one deserves to die like that. I’m just saying that no matter what the autopsy says, she had every right to live. We all do. Or so I think.
